This fabulous antique Victorian coiled snake bracelet has been exquisitely crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold. Multiple strands of woven gold have been cunningly laced together to create a flexible body with scales running along its length.
The piece is solid gold, with extremely high quality diamonds set as both eyes. The snake’s face has been lovingly crafted with great skill, with each of the serpent’s teeth and its forked tongue rendered beautifully in the same high quality gold.
Serpent jewellery became popular in the Victorian era and symbolized a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship with their coiled shape representing an infinite, everlasting bond.
This is one of the best preserved and most skilfully crafted Victorian pieces we have ever seen. It is in wonderful condition for its age, and is a truly remarkable piece of historic jewellery to be treasured.
