- This ultra-wide-angle lens with a focal length of 21mm (35mm film camera equivalent) is composed of a 10-element lens in 7 groups and 7 circular aperture blades, and delivers high resolution from the center to the periphery. With a minimum focusing distance of approximately 18cm, it is also suitable for taking pictures with blurred backgrounds and perspective shots that only an ultra-wide-angle lens can provide.
- The characteristics of ultra-wide-angle lenses, which are prone to distortion, are overcome through advanced optical design to thoroughly suppress distortion and chromatic aberration without the need for digital correction.
- A focus ring with distance and depth-of-field indicators is provided on the lens barrel. This is ideal for snapshots, as it allows the photographer to focus on a fast-moving subject using the indicators as a guide, for example, when shooting a fast-moving subject.
- The short back focus (distance from the rear of the lens to the sensor surface) of 13.3mm is achieved by taking advantage of the X mount. This prevents a reduction in the amount of peripheral light, resulting in a bright, high-resolution image all the way to the edges of the image.
